How endometrial biopsy is performed?
Fertility experts perform the biopsy by taking a tiny sample of tissue from the uterine lining to evaluate if there are any problems with the endometrium. First, the cervix is inspected with a speculum, and then the region is sterilized. Once the cervix has been opened, a catheter is inserted into the uterus. Finally, a little sample of uterine tissue is taken using gentle suction.
The lady may feel some discomfort in her uterus after the brief surgery. Light vaginal bleeding is also a possibility. However, she is usually OK to go back to her regular routine right after the procedure.
