Embryo freezing has emerged as the viable option for having baby as per a certain time line. According to the American Society for Reproductive Medicine (ASRM), an optimal time to freeze embryos is in 20s and early 30s when a woman has high ovarian reserve (the number of eggs in ovaries) and healthier eggs.
Embryologists rarely recommend embryo freezing for those women who are over the age of 38 years. Embryo freezing is useful when a woman want to get pregnant through IVF in near future. Also in the cases when more number of embryos are created patients can opt to freeze the embryos for future pregnancies.
